Aged Finishes
Our Aged Finish recreates the beautiful patina of time through an artisanal painting process. Each radiator is first assembled, pressure tested, and coated with a base colour (designer paints cannot be used as a base layer). After drying, we apply a second contrasting colour.
While the top coat remains wet, our craftsmen carefully distress the surface by selectively removing both paint layers in strategic areas. This technique reveals glimpses of the base colour beneath, creating a naturally weathered appearance that's particularly striking on ornate radiators . It's the perfect way to highlight intricate patterns while achieving that coveted timeworn character.
Highlighted Finishes
Our Highlighted Finish accentuates ornate radiator designs with striking contrast. Each piece receives a black base coat before artisans hand-grind the raised details to reveal the bare metal beneath.
This meticulous process transforms heating into art, making intricate patterns stand out beautifully.
Polished Finishes
Full Polish
Our Full Polish finish transforms radiators into gleaming works of art through an intensive, multi stage process. Each component is first sandblasted to reveal bare metal, then meticulously hand-polished by our master craftsmen to achieve a mirror like brilliance. Once assembled and pressure tested, we apply a protective lacquer to preserve the radiant finish.
This living finish develops character over time; while our lacquer provides protection, natural variations may occur. Should minor imperfections appear, they can be gently addressed with light wire wool and our specially formulated touch-up lacquer which is available upon request (charges may apply).
We recommend this stunning finish for dry interior spaces, as prolonged moisture exposure may affect its appearance. It is also not advisable to place wet or damp clothes on polished radiators. With proper care, your polished radiator will remain a dazzling focal point for years to come.
Rustic Full Polish
Our Rustic Polish finish creates a beautifully weathered aesthetic through an artisanal process. Each section begins with a black primer base, then our skilled craftsmen hand-polish select areas while allowing the primer to naturally settle into the metal's imperfections. The assembled radiator undergoes rigorous testing before receiving a protective lacquer coating to preserve its distinctive character.
This living finish develops organically over time; while the lacquer provides protection, the nature of cast iron means occasional rust spots may emerge. These can be gently treated with fine wire wool and our matching touch-up lacquer which is available upon request (charges may apply).
